May 31 - Time-Span

The

big

adventure

out

is

an

errand run,

returning to compose page 17 of Sinfonia (Op. 241),

in the company of Harriet and Megan,

on the 90th day of summer, high down 8 to 82 (27 Days at 80-or-better).

May 30 - Space, Time

Second rehearsal of Fresh Voices XV: Incarnate - Memories, Dreams, and Desires,

including Portraits of ___ (Some Multiple of 3) Women (aka Fallen Angels),

Steven Clark's

Amazons of the Planet Zena,

John Bilotta's Rosetta's Stone,

Carol Collins's Baltimore Crazy Quilt, and

John McGrew's Raising a Messiah --

with progress definitely being made.

Definitely

delayed

rest

 for the

weary,

as Harriet provides shuttle service to

and

fro,

on the 89th day of summer, high 90 (4 days at this or above, and first such since May 1's 91, increasing the number of 80+'s to 26, with the apex at 85 in Pleasant Hill).

Also compose page 16 of Sinfonia, Op. 241...

May 29 - Window of Opportunity

Up and out,

down

495 and

93

for

what may indeed be the last time in

quite a while,

dropping Carol off for her free JetBlue flight home,

then

delivering car to

point of origin,

and self to related, insofar as this local area is concerned.

Away! --

a San Franciscoesque fog over the Atlantic,

then above the

Great Lakes

 once

more,

Minnesota,

South

Dakota,

Wyoming,

Idaho,

Utah,

Nevada

(hot in the galley but

cold in the cabin -- "For God sake, look after our people"..),

California --

at last.

Not so fast: the automatic door opener won't work, and evidently the battery needs a jump.

After a fruitless wait for AAA, realize that surely this must happen off and again on the 7th level of San Francisco Long-Term Parking, and -- sure, enough -- this must be the case, as one of the attendants comes to the rescue with a power pack.

And, in the short time this takes, significantly more to pay re the lingering, but, at least on the way... and a very late return on the 88th day of summer, high 89 at home, a violently lower 62 in San Francisco, 72 Boston, 78 Haverhill....
