for a brief jaunt.
Thereafter,
downslope,
past diminishing
Joshua Trees,
northwards
to the environs of Kernville,
a festival in progress,
south
circumscribing
Isabella Lake,
into
town
for
sustenance,
ascending on
Caliente-Bodfish
and down to
Havilah,
beyond once more to Walker Basin,
cross-country on the unlikely Walser,
back into Twin Oaks and more joys.
