Finally, seems appropriate on the day after the 40th anniversary of the Vietnam War's end to begin Saigon Agonistes, Op. 240, with I. Dance of the Marines, based on Hindemith's The Demon, with a bit of Swing and Twelve-Tone consciousness, perhaps Crumb, Handel, Rock, and aspects of The Passion According to St. Matthew and Camino Real. Will hold off on writing any more of this for an interval, however....
