Road
to inspect the damage,
first
at
a
friend of
Michele and Steve's,
and
then
all
the
way
to
Caliente-
Bodfish
Road,
comparing
our
course
with
a
train
heading
uphill,
then
connecting
circuituously
to
Bena
and
on
and
on
down
the
widening
rocky
valley,
partially
on
58.
A supply stop,
then
rough
reverse
course,
eventually
again
on
58,
up
to
the
upper
stretch
of
Bena,
and
a
deja
vu
entirely
back
to
via
Caliente
Creek's
serpentine
bumps
and
grinds
up
to
greater
Twin
Oaks /
Handy's
Corner,
Back
Canyon,
flood-
ravaged
Weaver
Creek,
and
thence
Flying
Bears
Ranch
for
a
bit
of
upkeep.
From
here,
Dinner
again
at
Critter
Creek,
returning
downhill
for
more
work
work
in
the
photogentic
twilight,
and
to
day's pont of origin for brilliant lights in the night. A murderer is said to be lurking in the desert wilderness beyond the Sierra Divide, but all is mostly calm in the local area...
