Rushing out,
on another angelic day,
reasonable
and
wonderful,
first
to
the
local
paradoxically-rather-scenic disposal site,
then
down
canyon,
up
58
to
Tehachapi and the
Apple Shed,
meeting Adonae Faris
to discuss the (sigh!) potential sale of Carol's Flying Bears Ranch.
Crosstown
for
free tax consultation,
then back to Adonae's office for more realty resolutions.
From
here,
a
tour
east
to
Cameron
Canyon
and
the
problematic,
yet
striking
windmills,
down
Oak
Creek.
past
Joshua
trees
and
creosote
bush,
to
Mojave,
looping back via Cache,
then
north
on
Sand
Canyon
to
its
unceremonious
end,
returning
in
heightened
sensibilities
via
Monolith
to
Tehachapi (procuring evening treats at
Kohnen's
Bakery),
and
down
this
time
on
Woodfords
past
the
Loop,
with
a
train
happily
arriving
on
schedule
through
the
circuit.
Onward
to
Keene
Buttes,
back on
58,
Bealville
north,
Caliente-
Bodfish
and
well
beyond
for
a
stint
on
Rolling
Oaks,
Back
Canyon,
Zachary,
and
ultimately
to
Critter
Creek
Ranch
for dinner with Michele and Steve. High barely the 36th day of summer at home -- 71-- and not even, in the local environs: 68....
