March 24 - Substitutingly This Spring

Long-term,

early-morning

semi-high-speed,

fully-engaged

circuituous

commute,

indefinite-ending

substitution re the formerly-c.-but-now-definitely 8am Music Theory class begins for the absent, mysterious Monte Bairos -- last seen yesterday in official company, rumors fiduciary / judiciary / planetary.

With his students typically solidly grounded, though informationally at a leisurely pace, begin an accelerated program: Dictation / Keyboard-Solfege on Richard Rodgers's Sound of Music: Do-Re-Mi (just the first half of that which the late-morning class will perform), plus the Chords and Scales -- particularly A Natural and Harmony Minor -- of Quiz 5.

Not wishing, Woody Allenesquely, to lose an academically excellent parking spot,

take

in

Owen's

Fourth Semester class (with another substituting request, though short-term... just on March 26 for this group),

then back to the classic Theoreticians to finish up the Rodgers, continue Voice-Leading practice,

and appreciate Jennifer Chen's impressive Composition 2.

Head to Marin thereafter with

Carol,

to have the errant mirror replaced at Novato Toyota,

paper-grading-biding at Chevy's,

bouncing to the San Anselmo post box and

back,

returning

via errands

(including a quick voicemail fix at the local ATT Store) to prepare publication of the flute-piano Mary Variations: VIII. Mary Rag, on the 28th day of summer, high bouncing back up 4 degrees to 73 (high a mere 68 in San Rafael)...
